Who’s who at Sandbrook

Manager - Vanessa Linehan

Vanessa has worked at Sandbrook since 2010.  She has a Masters in Early Years (New Leaders) from Canterbury Christchurch University as well as Early Years Professional Status.  She has an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate.  She is the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the playgroup. She lives in Stoke Newington and has two children who attend local schools.

Deputy Manager - Aynur Haligur

Aynur started at Sandbrook in October 2017. She is qualified to Level 3. She has an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate.  She also acts as Special Education Needs Co-ordinator for the playgroup and as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Early Years Practioner (Apprentice) - Eliz Mevlana

Eliz joined Sandbrook as an Apprentice in autumn 2016.  She has recently gained a Level 2 qualification and has started her Level 3. She has an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate.

Early Years Practitioner - Aysha Achhala

Aysha started work at Sandbrook in April 2014.  She has worked in early years for over ten years, both as a child minder and playworker and is qualified at Level 3.  She previously spent seven years working at a community playgroup in Muswell Hill and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our playgroup.  She has an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate.

Early Years Practitioner - Gina Baron

Gina has worked in early years for almost 30 years and has spent most of her career in Stoke Newington.  She started working at Sandbrook in 2012.  She is qualified to Level 3 and has an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate.

Early Years Practitioner - Sam Foley

Sam started work at Sandbrook in June 2017. She has worked in Early years for nine years and is qualified at Level 3.  She has an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate.

Administrator - Alix Degortes
